Alex Lu Chen

I am a fourth-year Computer Science undergraduate at UCLA. I currently conduct research at UCLA’s StarAI Lab (Prof. Guy Van den Broeck) and MINT Group (Prof. Aditya Grover), with a focus on more efficient inference algorithms, particularly in LLM caching.

Previously, I researched under Prof. Katsushi Arisaka, helping develop software for a robotic dissection system. I also interned as a software engineer on Amazon’s recommendations team, where I built a debugger for ML models to improve traceability across recommendations.
